About the summer school

Groupoids are fundamental tools, providing an elegant framework for many problems. The purpose of this summer school is to survey some of their applications in geometry, in measurable and topological dynamics, and in operator algebras. We will have minicourses by the following lecturers:

  • Camille Horbez (Université Paris Saclay) : Measure equivalence rigidity among mapping class groups
  • Xin Li (Glasgow University) : Topological groupoids and their invariants
  • Clara Löh (Universität Regensburg) : The dynamical view on simplicial volume
  • Paolo Piazza (Sapienza Università di Roma) : K-Theoretic and homological invariants of Dirac operators

In addition, the school will feature several research talks.

Some double and triple rooms have been booked by the summer school for PhD students and postdocs. They will be fully funded by the school, but we cannot fund travel a priori. In order to apply for housing, please register before February 28.

Aknowledgements

This meeting is funded by CNRS, RT Tétraèdre, IMJ-PRG (also via the Operator Algebra team), ANR PLAGE and Université Paris Cité.
